frankston nature conservation reserve, frankston south

Who would believe that this majestic bushland lies smack bang in the middle of Frankston?
The scenery here is just incredible. It is all set around a large damn (water sports permitted!) and you will pass through grassy woodland, step down into a forest bed; all the while hearing the most incredible birdsong - and if you’re lucky - taking in the sights of native wildlife like koalas, kookaburras, frogs, lizards, echidnas and wallabies!

There are a few different length trails, Mamma’s crew did the Kookaburra trail, which is 3.1kms (about 1.5 hours) and the perfect length for an adventure with little legs. The track is quite thin in parts and slightly uphill in sections, and isn’t pram friendly. However, you can follow the bike path trail if you have a pram.

This really is incredible, and you have to add it to your list- you wont believe you are in the middle of suburbia!
