kings falls, arthurs seat

Did you know that we have a WATERFALL right here in the South?! Mamma had NO idea.
Now it might not be as glorious as some of Melbourne’s other waterfalls, but the walk to see it sure is! And then once you get close and hear the peaceful sound of the water trickling down the rocks, the many birds calling and the lush rain forest surroundings, you will not mind that the fall isn’t rapidly cascading. It will also depend on the time you visit. If there has been a lot of rain, it obviously will be stronger.

The best bit is that it is perfect for little feet! The circuit walk takes at most 40 minutes in total. There aren’t many steep inclines (in fact there’s only one section where there are a few steep steps) and it is simply breathtaking. You walk down into a rain forest gully, with deep green ferns and little streams stirring around you. Then walk back up amongst sheoaks and some of the most intricate branches of some of the largest trees this Mamma has seen!

Keep your eye out for wildlife. We spotted a wallaby and so many pretty coloured birds. This is such a beautiful place, and a perfect walk for the whole family to enjoy.

Mamma's special mention:
There’s so much to see and do up here. You cannot go past Enchanted Gardens or the NEW Seawinds Gardens Playspace and The Arthurs Seat Eagle.
