This is the perfect family walk! It will only take you 20 minutes each way to follow the trail, so it’s perfect for those little legs. It’s also pram friendly, too!

There’s a lot to explore on the way to the lake; which is the only permanent fresh water lake on the Island. You will spot wallabies sunning themselves by the trees, lizards along the tree-stumps, you’ll hear frogs go la-deh-da-de-dah in the bush, and spy lots of birds, too.
Once you get to the lake, you’ll be able to watch the swans swim through the lookout in the bird watch; there’s a birdwatch hut at both ends of the trail.
In one hut, you can view the wall that has a painting of all the different birds you are likely to spot there. Mamma’s kids have a great time matching up the ones they saw.

This is a great spot to experience Phillip Islands awesome wildlife, and the whole family will love it.

To get here you need to head to Swan Lake Guest House and take the turn off to the car park.
Walk takes 40 minutes return. Birdhouse views.
