north road foreshore playground, brighton

Grab a towel, bucket and spade, and a change of clothes - you’re in for some wicked wet adventures!

This playground is the most epic beach-side playground that Mamma has seen Southside!
There’s a huge pirate ship smack bang in the middle, which includes a slide, climbing nets, a tightrope and little cubby houses. It sits on top of soft fall matting, with multiple in-ground mini trampolines surrounding it.
There’s a see-saw, net swing, rocking boat and sandpit.

Then there’s - WATER PLAY! Several spinning spouts of tall water taps and a smaller sprinkler type. But, without a doubt, the hero of this playground is the little shaded toddler sandpit that has a water fountain in the middle. It transforms it into a shallow, sandy, splash-pool that the little ones just can’t get enough of! Be prepared to spend some time in this spot. Luckily there is bench seating as well as a rock wall surrounding it allowing for parents to sit and watch.

Mamma must note that there is not a lot of shade here. So make sure you bring a hat and slip slop slap! The only shaded area is the toddler water play and a few trees on the grass area provide a great picnic spot.

Mamma's special mention:
Of course you can’t go past Brighton Beach for some more fun; but there’s also the awesome new Dendy Park playground if you want to keep the playtime going.
