South Side Festival kicks off THIS WEEKEND!
While some of the events for South Side Festival are for the adults only, there are also some great events throughout the Festival that the whole family will love; including dance workshops, acrobatic storytelling, live music and digital water projections.
Of all the events, the one you don’t want to miss is Mandylights - Frankston Generator. The first of its kind in Frankston, this all ages event will leave you completely awestruck. Over a thousand lighting fixtures, interactive video screens, a wind tunnel and a high energy music soundtrack will guide you underground through three different levels, all at your own pace. The whole self-guided experience takes about 45 mins.
Mandylights – Frankston Generator runs from May 6-8, and May 12-15.
Oh and Mamma says, there are also Low sensory sessions available on Saturday 14 May.
When you’ve finished Frankston Generator, you won’t be far from Collide -Saturation - Set up in the Frankston Library forecourt, this beautiful digital water projection has the faces of the Voices of Frankston choir appearing on a cascading wall of water. It creates a real-world augmented reality experience you can touch and walk amongst.
