endeavour fern gully rainforest walk, red hill

Did you know we have a rainforest right here in the South?! Well, now you do! Mamma is letting this little hidden gem out of the bag.

Tucked away just off Arthurs Seat Road (you'll definitely want your GPS because you'd never know it was there!), you'll find a beautiful 2km loop winding through lush rainforest.

Part of the walk follows a boardwalk, but most of the trail is a natural dirt path, so it's not pram friendly. There are a few narrow sections and some steeper parts along the way, but it's a relatively short walk, so little legs should manage it without too much trouble.

As you wander through the trail, you'll be surrounded by towering fern trees and lush greenery, with the soundtrack of birdsong following you every step of the way. If you're lucky, you might even spot some of the locals – wallabies and wombats are known to call this beautiful place home.

It's one of those magical spots that feels a world away from suburbia, and we guarantee you'll be planning your next visit before you've even made it back to the car!
