woolamai surf beach, phillip island

Mamma is going to call it - THIS is the most stunning stretch of beach in the South! BIG call - but just LOOK at this place?!

The golden sand stretches on for miles, set amongst the backdrop of red granite cliffs and grassy hills, (home to wallabys) - mixed with the icy-blue water and huge waves, topped off with the wooden boardwalk and it is just impossible to get any better!

Now of course, this isn’t the most family friendly swimming beach - so keep that in mind - it IS a surf beach with large waves and strong currents, there’s no timid shallow water play here. That being said - there are life guards and flags to swim between for the safest spots for some waving jumping and body surfing action.

Mamma’s crew had LOADS of fun on the shores edge, where there’s the perfect amount of waves to crash over them, they didn’t want to leave!

There are outdoor showers to rinse all the sand off, as well as toilets and even a kiosk up near the car park. Be prepared to spend hours here as it is as fun as it is beautiful!
